John Charles Miles, aged 36, of Chicago, died peacefully April 8, 2020, following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Erin Evenhouse; father, Jeffrey Miles; mother, Mary Molhoek; brother, Christian Miles (Diane Boerman); sister, Molly Molhoek; niece, Alex Boerman; aunts, uncle, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joy and Victor Miles and Laura and Daniel Litscher. John was born December 30, 1983, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduated from East Grand Rapids High School in 2002, and attended the University of Montana. Hallmarked by generosity, he was a kind soul who took care of his people, with a dry wit and a twinkle in his eye. He was a gifted musician, dutiful son, brother, husband, and friend, and a selfless manager and mentor for his work family. John spread music, light, and laughter everywhere he went.
