I haven’t seen John since our first high school reunion but I have fond memories of times we created havoc with our friends Chris Haynor and Dan Cutie. I’m reluctant to be more specific but we had good clean fun and then some. John had such an unassuming demeanor and quiet disposition but he was mischievous and loved the outdoors. I hope i properly uploaded the little league photo of John and me (in front of John) along with some of our other class of 81 mates: Ken Mahar, Jim Smith and John Arduini. I also have a great picture of the car we unloaded on the front steps of high school on senior prank day and if I recall correctly John took the photos. My condolences to John’s family. I trust there will come a day when his memory brings a smile to your face instead of a tear in your eyes. Chris Rosetti

John and Mary Ellen Friends were some of our earliest friends from our Deerfield Academy years, and part of our community for over 30 years. It was always a pleasure to spend time with them.
John led the Full Circle School in Bernardston, where our son Avery attended sixth grade and had an absolutely wonderful experience at a pivotal time in his life.
We are deeply grateful to John for creating such a thoughtful, nurturing place for kids to learn and grow.
John always had a smile on his face, and he was always up to something. He will be missed and he will be remembered!
Then there was the time he tried to help me water ski for the first time. I didn’t actually make it up, but it was quite the memorable experience and he was very patient!
Holding Mary Ellen, Caleb, Ellie, their family and friends, and the Full Circle and Deerfield Academy communities in our hearts.
Sue, Sean, Hunter, and Avery Keller
