John and I were kindred spirits in our love of water (and growing up on skateboards), but his legendary skills on all types of boards - on land, sea or snow - defied the laws of physics.  John was in a league of his own!  His love and enthusiasm for fun, friends and family remain an inspiration for all.  We send love and prayers for Mary Ellen and family.   David Dickinson and Claudia Lyons

John brought me into his life with his love for bikes and every kind of outdoor adventure.  His love and support were monumental when my life fell apart in 2020, and he helped me rebuild my life after that.  It's impossible to list all the ways that I am a better man because of him and impossible to express all the many ways I will miss him.  With love to Mary Ellen, Caleb and Elie.

It seems like every scenario John touched became sweeter, wiser, gentler, and / or funnier.  What an unrepeatable combination of love, athleticism, compassion, and intellect! What a blessing he has been in my life as Full Circle's music teacher. He started out as one of my "bosses" and became a true friend. Like everyone else who knew him, I send boatloads of love to Mary Ellen, Caleb, Ellie, and all of John's loved ones.

I am sorry for your loss and I can imagine the pain. Have strength and believe that over time everything will become easier.

We are sending so much love to you the friends family! John was such a special kind and amazing human. He created a space where kids could grow and love learning! The stories after each day of math class were special and unique. His love for adventure and snowboarding excited our little Ellie!
