In honor of John wishes
The work of the ACLU of Florida—protecting rights, upholding dignity, and standing for fairness—was deeply aligned with who John was.
He served for several years as a local leader, bringing to that role his unique way of being: a gentle giant, an alternative thinker, and a deeply conciliatory presence. He understood the rules, yet always chose dialogue over division. Within his circle and beyond, he moved with steadiness, kindness, and a rare absence of reactivity. He simply loved people as they were.
Supporting the ACLU of Florida is a way to honor not only the work he believed in, but the way he lived—peacefully, thoughtfully, and with deep respect for others.
The love remains. So does the work that mattered to him.
