Memories with Johan since year 2007

I still can't believe it. So sad ad and shocking. We were still emailing each other a few hours before the accident. We had planed PDA next Monday but he couldn't show up with his smiling face and kindly voice as usual. But I still opened the meeting and left some messages in the chat window to say " goodbye" to my dear friend my brother. He left too sudden and too earlier that we don't even have a chance to say goodbye to him. Huge loss to the company, the team, the family and everyone who loves him.

For the past 16 years, Johan has been more than just my manager, he has been my mentor, friend, and brother. I didn't just learn professional knowledge and skills from him. I learned from him how he was full of love for life and family.

My deepest thoughts go to his family. R.I.P Johan, you will live forever in my heart!

Segment Manager trip to China

I still have a hard time understanding and accepting that Johan is no longer with us. This, after having had the pleasure of knowing and working with Johan for almost 20 years.

Johan made it joyful and inspiring to work together, always ready to share his knowledge and eager to learn more and new things.

I greatly appreciated the hospitality Johan always showed when I and others came to an ABB office where Johan and his family lived.

He truly cared about everyone as a person, colleagues and his own employees.

For the past seven years, we worked very closely together and had almost daily contact. Mostly, of course, it was work-related, but often also to share good events within our families.

There was more than one time when a call or video conference had to pause for a while, when either Kiona or Fiomena poked for attention. Moving on with work after a laughter.

Often when Johan was on a trip to Sweden, he had an extra suitcase to bring back Swedish food and other things for the children, like the caring father he was.

I, and also whoever I talk to, have nothing but happy memories of Johan, although now feeling a great sadness and loss.

I will always carry my dear memory of you Johan close to my heart.

My deepest thoughts are with Johan's family, in this unimaginably difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Johan’s family ❤️

Så oerhört sorgligt att du inte finns längre Johan. Jag har många fina minnen från när vi var små.  Jag är ledsen för att jag inte kan vara där imorgon. Jag hoppas att du har det bra där du är ❤️/din kusin Maria

My heartfelt condolences to Johan's family. All of our prayers in this difficult times.

February 1996 we met for the first time. We were 20 newly graduated young adults; nervously watching each other but full of expectations and hope. We had just joined the ABB trainee program together. It turned out to be a soft transfer from student life to work life. We were all in the same stage of life and were tossed together as a group. In many ways similar to a group of kids in the same school class. During the years forward we had a lot of lectures, courses and other job related stuff together but, more importantly, also a lots of fun; parties, trips and other gatherings. We became a very tight group of friends. Johan was one of us, and will always be. During the 27 years that has passed by since the start we continued to keep contact with each other. Johans career took off in light speed and he got travelling around the world in his job but finally and happily settled down in Switzerland. His home being far away from the rest of us made it hard to keep as close contact to him as we all wanted but Johan being Johan made it easier than it otherwise would have been. For our last gathering in November 2022 he travelled all the way back to Sweden to see us all. We had a wonderful day together. A day we all will treasure. We miss him a lot. We are so sad for the horrible loss his family, who he spoke so proudly and lovingly about, must feel. They and we have lost a wonderful person.
Johans many friends in ABB Trainee Program 96:1.
