Joann will be greatly missed. She was a quiet person but spoke up when something needed to be said. We were both members at ALCWC and she was faithful and a lover of God and her church.  My condolences to her family.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Joanne Whiteside Greene. I am proud to say that Joanne was my friend. I loved to hear about the trips she took with her daughters to different places. Even though I did not know Joanne; but for a short period of time I had heard stories about her from her sister Debbie. We were in school together and she went to stay with her sister during the summers, So I knew of her from many years before we actually met. Joanne was a loving person and a blessing to know.

We are writing to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Ms. Greene. We had the honor of meeting Ms. Greene at Bernard and Toni's home during numerous gatherings. Ms. Greene always had funny stories about her former employment at the post office and family vacations. She was full of wisdom and a joy to be around. We will definitely miss seeing her at gatherings, laughing, and sipping on her wine.

I’m so sorry to hear of sister Joanne’s passing.  She was always her authentic self, and was a good friend.  We loved her very much, and she will truly be missed.  You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I meet Ms. Joanne after she moved back here. We attended church together at St. John AME Zion and then Abundant Life Christian Worship Center. I enjoyed talking to her and learned a lot about her. She talked highly of her children, Desirae and her other grandchildren . She enjoyed all the trips that she took with Nikki and would tell me about them. We would talk about traveling, family, and healthy living. One thing about Ms. Joanne, if you invited her to something she would show up. She was faithful to the church and the community. She enjoyed go to the Senior Center and went daily. Hearing of her passing was a shock because she was healthy and exercised regularly. I feel like I have lost an aunt and I will miss her. I will keep the family and those that love her in my prayers! Rest in paradise Ms. Joanne!

Have always loved Joanne she lived up the street from us when I was small I always remember her being one of the baddest majorettes at Carver High. I used to go to the house all the time and her sister Pam and I was very very close. I know she will be missed by many
