My deepest condolences to Dr Houston’s family.  Dr Houston always encouraging while I was a student 1974-8 and afterwards. The most surprising was when he called me on his 100th birthday!

I have so many memories and so much gratitude for Jim and the community he built around the world through Regent College. May his legacy live longer than he did!

In 1985/86 I was a new Christian studying at Regent. Dr Houston helped me learn several deep truths that have been fundamental in my walk with God. One being, I don’t have to earn God’s love. Two, that God’s work in my life will be gentle so pay attention. Thank you Dr Houston, you have been a Blessing to so many❤️🙏.

Thanks to Dr. Houston for teaching me that “all of life is sacred”.  It was an honour for me to be his assistant in the early years of Regent College.  Marion Bromley

Dr. Houston was a roll model  of faithfulness like no other for me. He demonstrated the long journey in one direction for me to witness and to follow.

Thank you, Jim for your friendship, encouragement, and mentorship over the years. You were a great inspiration to me. I always enjoyed our visits when I taught at the Regent summer school.
