Jesse Bloom, 41, of San Diego, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, after a tragic untimely accident.

Jesse was born on August 18, 1981, to Sandy (Wackerman) Bland and Jerry Bloom in Mariposa, CA. After Jesse graduated from Mariposa County High School in 1999, he went on to go to school in San Luis Obispo for some time but found his home in the life he created for himself in San Diego.

Jesse fashioned a strong network around him with the best friends that a person could ask for and genuinely lived life to the fullest, making each day as special as it was meant to be. He enjoyed traveling, had the most over-the-top Halloween costumes, and got a lot of enjoyment out of a simple glass of wine with a Camel cigarette. He could spin up a story on a dime and hold a conversation with anyone, and people were drawn to his charismatic personality. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

The Bloom family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the special close-knit group of friends in the San Diego area that created a family away from his family. Jesse was so loved and loved you all very much. It brought him so much joy to watch you find love, start families, and become “Uncle Jesse” to your children, whom he cared for deeply.

Jesse was survived by Sandy (mother) & Steve Bland, Jerry (father) & Kathy Bloom, Jerry (brother), Diana, Nathaniel, Donevan, & Jerilynn Bloom, Jason (brother) & Ashley Bloom, Elwood & Rebecca (sister) Mello, Grandma Johnnie Wackerman, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
