Grandpa Jerry taking me to th…

Grandpa Jerry taking me to the “father-daughter” dance when my Dad wasn’t able to make it.
Uncle Jerry once came to town and asked if there was something I wanted. I told him I wanted rollerblades. That afternoon I had them. I wore them longer than they fit me because just like my Uncle they were the best! I’ve been blessed to have so many magical moments with my Uncle. From dances to songs, from conversations that lead to debates. I think the most magical was when my children were old enough to have those same moments. He loved all his family deeply and with a true curiosity as to who and what they themselves are. I hope to tell a story as well as Uncle one day. I wish to dance with joy and charisma half as well as Unclr. I’ll keep with me a goal to care and be curious with my family always. Good bye Uncle. I love you.

Jerry and his grandson — with Kai Morphy
Jerry was present at the beginning of Wolverines Soccer in the 70s (and beyond in Guam's Soccer Community), Living in Windward Hill in the 80s, and working together in the 90s. He and his family have been a part of my journey for many years, difficult to lose your Dad and Friend. I hope Pat, Jeremy, and Kelly (as well as Ha'Ani and Tasi whom I did get to know) are all doing well. Life is a Journey as we age it continues to challenge us as we lose those we cherish the most.
