Jennifer Ann Fitz-Roy, born on August 2, 1984, and departed from us on September 2, 2023, left a remarkable legacy of resilience, advocacy, and adventure. Born with Spina Bifida, Jennifer illuminated the world with her indomitable spirit and infectious smile.
Jennifer excelled as a passionate disability advocate, graduating from Boston College in 2004 and working with the National Youth Leadership Network, consulting with providers, caregivers, and nonprofit organizations on issues impacting disabled youth. She volunteered often with nonprofit organizations that serve people with disabilities, and was an avid outdoor adventure and adaptive sports enthusiast. Through her life, she touched the lives of countless individuals, offering guidance, support, and hope.
Jennifer's accomplishments extended to the field of competitive rowing. Her time as a para-athelete, competitive rower and program manager at Community Rowing of Brighton, MA was a testament to her unwavering determination and her ability to surpass expectations. She achieved success out on the water and inspired others to reach for their dreams, proving that physical challenges need not limit anyone. In her travels, both near and far, Jennifer discovered the beauty of the world and embraced every moment of exploration. She competed on international stages, showcasing her unparalleled strength and fortitude.

Her love for her faithful dog Benson, a 9-year-old puggle, was further evidence of her nurturing spirit, and their companionship brought boundless joy to her life. Preceded in death by both of her parents, Jennifer leaves behind her older brother, Don, and her Aunt Khadijah.
