Jeffrey Rollins, 63, of Houston, Texas, and Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2026, in Lowndes County, Alabama. Jeff was a uniquely imaginative and creative man who built his own beautiful home, along with his wife Renee, on a plot alongside the Alabama River in Lowndes County. Growing up in Montgomery and always surrounded by animals, Jeff possessed natural leadership skills, serving as class vice-president three times in the graduating class of Sidney Lanier High School, 1981. His hardworking and loyal nature made him a valued employee at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing plant in Montgomery practically since it opened in 2005. His family always enjoyed getting gifts from him because they always reflected his boundless imagination and creative ingenuity. His life touched many people, he is leaving many cherished memories with all those he met. His death follows the death of father Robert Roland Rollins, Sr. in 1989, mother Marie Monk Rollins in 2007, brother Larry Kent Rollins in 2023, and nephew Hank Leon Barnes of Centennial, Colorado in 2025. He is also preceded in death by brothers Robert Roland Rollins, Jr, and James Selman Rollins, and brother-in-law Devon Floyd. Jeff is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Renee Dodd Rollins of Montgomery, daughter Hayley Rollins of Oakland, California, brothers Eddie Rollins of Montgomery and Glenn Vogel Rollins and his wife Ileana of Santa Mesa, California, sisters Jeannie Floyd and Judy Kay Kny and her husband Harvey Kny of Houston, sisters-in-law Arlene Rollins of Houston, nieces Holly Ostrout and her husband Nate and daughter Theola, Zoey Rollins of Montgomery, Stephanie Lopez and husband John, Susan Bishop, Cassandra Brown, Sally Rollins (Mike Bamburg), Jeannie Crowell and husband Darren, and Melissa Barnes of Houston, and nephews Roland Rollins III and Richard Rollins, Jamie Rollins and wife Mollie, David Floyd and wife Kristi, and Todd Floyd. Jeff also affected the lives of many aunts, uncles and cousins in Houston and east Texas. A private service will be held for family and friends.
