My father deeply loved critters of all types! He believed that every creature deserved care and dignity. From his beloved rescue dogs, Wednesday and Larry, to his companion cats, Trixie, Ziva, and Yard Stick (the three legged kitty), to the goats, possums, raccoons, squirrels, birds, and chinchillas he and my mother nursed back to health. He gave that care freely, without hesitation, whether it was a stray dog on the side of the road or, as his neighbor Tony can attest, a lone possum he'd quietly been feeding peanut butter crackers and caring for all along.

He donated monthly to the Montgomery Humane Society up until the time of his death. His support to them was an extension of who he was: someone who could not look away from an innocent animal in need. In his memory, my mother and I ask that you consider continuing his legacy of compassion for animals. Contribute to Montgomery Humane Society
