Jeffrey Roberts, 56, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on February, 1st, 2024. Jeff was born on November 5th, 1967 to Scott and Donna Roberts in Syracuse, NY.

During his youth, Jeff developed his passion for playing ice hockey, running, cycling, and snow skiing. He attended Marcellus High School and graduated in 1985. Jeff attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and graduated in 1992. While at Ithaca College he competed collegiately for the men’s cross country and track teams. Jeff’s love for IC and his teammates, “The Bombers”, was a constant throughout his life. It was also at IC that Jeff and Roxane met.

After college Jeff moved to Raleigh, NC where he fell in love with all that NC outdoors had to offer. Jeff’s passion for cycling led him to a career in the bicycle industry at The Spin Cycle in Cary, NC. A few years later, he was inspired to open his own business, Trek Bicycles of Raleigh. Jeff enjoyed helping individuals and families practice an active lifestyle through cycling. He also was passionate about cycling advocacy in the Raleigh community and hosted many charity rides and events at the store, including one of his favorites, the Bike for Hope.

Those who knew Jeff knew how much his family meant to him. His love for his wife Roxane and daughter Ellie was immeasurable. Through the years, the family made many irreplaceable memories of going on hikes, ski trips, and driving to lots and lots of soccer fields. He was immensely proud of Ellie and was her biggest fan. One of Jeff’s favorite things to do with Ellie was participating in the “Soaring Ravens” Y-Guides outings. He brought joy, love, and positivity with him everywhere he went and never failed to brighten someone’s day.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 27 years, Roxane Aguilar Roberts, daughter Elizabeth Sarah “Ellie” Roberts, mother Donna Eells Roberts, brother Brian Sage Roberts (Lisa), and niece Morgan Sage Roberts of Arvada, CO. He is preceded in death by his father Scott Sage Roberts.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held 1:00 - 3:30 pm Friday, February 16, 2024, at North Ridge Country Club, 6612 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615.
