Jeff Jones was a truly remarkable man, a beacon of kindness and generosity who touched so many lives. I will forever be grateful to him for the extraordinary thing he did for me. At a time when nobody wanted to listen or give me a chance, he stood up and changed everything. Thanks to his heartfelt support and the powerful letter he wrote on my behalf, I was finally given the opportunity to sit down with the Department of Health and share my side of the story. That letter opened doors I thought were forever closed and it allowed me to take the state exam, which I passed, and ultimately become licensed in the United States.

I heard so many stories that Jeff didn’t just help me, he did similar selfless acts for countless others. He never sought recognition or reward for his kindness. He simply believed in lifting people up and giving them a chance to thrive. His empathy and unwavering willingness to help will forever leave an imprint on my heart and the hearts of so many others.

Jeff Jones will always be missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he changed and the love he spread. May he rest in peace, knowing the profound impact he made on this world.

I have just learned of Jeff's passing this morning. So very sad. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever known, always friendly and caring. Just like all the Jones family. They were legendary on Beacon Hill and hosted the best parties on holidays. I ran into Jeff at Costco a few years back and he came up to me and was just as nice as I remembered. We had a chance to catch up some, and I will always remember that smile he had. We went to St. George together and even though he was a year ahead of me, and extremely cool, he always said hi to me! I'll never forget that and his kindness to me and everyone. I send condolences to the entire Jones family, extended family, friends and all who knew Jeff. The world will be a little less bright without him. Rest in peace,  Jeff, and say hi to Greg Van Gaver.

It’s true what they say…it all goes by so fast doesn’t it?   I met you while running amuck with Suzie…some 48 (or so) years ago.   Seems like yesterday.  You were always “that guy”, never judging, always that warm happy smile, always listening, always ready to talk it out.  Always that guy.  Seems way too soon to say goodbye and I wish I had thanked you more.  I wish I had told you more how much I have appreciated your presence in my life.  It has been SUCH an honor to call you my friend Jeff.   Thank you so much 💕

Jeff was an awesome guy. My family is fortunate to live near Donny and got to know him many years ago. He was a great dad, uncle, husband etc, Also a very good attorney who helped us out tremendously. My favorite memory of him was when we painted the inside of their parents house on Beacon hill and we both were suited up to spray with hoods and respirators, there’s a picture somewhere we sent one to  Donny who had to work that day.
Huge hugs to the family. Wonderful memories of Jeff thru St. George grades 1 thru 8 and his mom and dad and family

Jeff was kind to and respectful of everyone.  I am lucky to have had him as a friend. I will miss him. We will remember and raise a glass to him and all the other classmates that we have lost,  at all future class of 70 get-togethers.
Jeff was definitely one of the good guys.  We went to law school together.  He practiced in a different field than we did but was always a helpful resource and a great  attorney to refer people to.   Please accept our sympathies.   Mary Kooistra and David Berkey, class of 1977

Jill, Hilary, Jack, Zach, Leo and Tate,

We send our love and sweet memories of Jeff to all of you.  Jill, Hilary and Jack, we especially loved spending so many New Years Eves with you and Jeff and will cherish the memories of lobster races, good food, friendship and fireworks always.  Jeff always made sure there were fireworks to cap off the evening.
