I was a student in Jeanne's Children's Literature class at UNM. Her class inspired me in my teaching middle school students for many years. She read "Inside My Feet" to us; I loved it so much that I read it to my classes. I will never forget her wonderful class.

Jeanne was my Children’s Literature professor for my Masters program at UNM, but meant so much more to me. A mentor and example of how to live life with a sense of wonder and from a deep wellspring of curiosity. She changed my life and I am so grateful for her presence in it. Her lilting voice, reading books aloud, will live in my heart forever.

May her memory be a blessing.

Jeanne and David were our first friends in  Albuquerque. Many fond memories of dinners together, camping, and tea in our front courtyard. 

We miss you Jeanne!
