So so sorry to hear about Jansen. Too young, too soon.

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Jansen was a ball of fire. Charming, magnanimous, good looks coupled with a razor sharp wit. He had a heart of gold. The type of guy to give you the shirt off his back. His laugh and smile were infectious and would instantly light up any room he was in. His funny stories would leave you in stitches. He was truly the life of the party and overall fun person to be around. On top of that, he was an extraordinarily talented artist and performer. He had a remarkable ability to uplift others and make them feel particularly good about themselves. It fills me with pride to say that I consider Jansen a dear childhood friend. He was bound to leave an indelible impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His departure has left an empty void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him best. He will forever be remembered for the thoughtful, caring, generous soul he was. I will always cherish the memories that I have of Jansen, especially during the filming of “The Perfect Game”. May he be welcomed with open arms into eternal paradise. May his light shine perpetually from the heavens above and may his spirit live on through his impressive body work. Love you forever, J.

Jansen and I met in 2018 at his apartment in North Hollywood, my close friend Clacy was his neighbor and she introduced me. From the moment we met, we became became best friends from the start, it was as though we knew each other for years already haha. Coincidentally, we found out while hanging in LA that we both grew up from the same area of New York, Rockland County, and are the same age! we learned we had a lot in common and got ourselves in a lot of fun times and mischief around Hollywood haha!! Many late nights out together, many days inside doing art and sharing so many creative plans and visions..

I would say one of our favorite memories that we always laugh so hard when we talk about it is that time we went for a hike at Runyon on a beautiful day in LA it was hot out and after we strayed off the trail and went pool hopping in this huge empty mansion, it was an infinity pool on top of the hills over looking all of Los Angeles the view was sick! We were swimming and laying out in the sun playing music, I guess there were cameras at the house and the owner got notified of us being there LOL ! All of a sudden we hear a car going so fast into the driveway in the front and we hear a car door slam, we look at each other with a surprised concerned look and next thing we know we see the owner at the gate running towards the backyard screaming at us. Jansen and I grab our sneakers and shirts and sprint towards the end of the backyard and hop the fence out and we are running so fast down the hollywood hills thru the bushes and all types of trees, we both wind up at one point falling and rolling down quite a bit of the mountain, after we were covered in blood and scratches and cuts, at the same time while we were running the owner was sprinting throwing rocks down the mountain at us, he gave up and we got away but it was just one of those times we always say to each other "omg can you remember that time we......"

or this other time Jansen did a back flip on the street right outside of Sound Nightclub at 2:00am

...Jansen and I both moved back to Rockland County from LA at the same time, and we continued hanging often now in New York at a very transitional new chapters both our lives. Sometimes we'd just go on drives, other times we'd walk around Nyack grabbing food or beers, there were a lot of nights hanging at his old apartment in Nyack, before he went away for a bit, we would spend late nights laughing, painting, watching tv shows and movies, FaceTiming our friends, and just sharing our dreams, plans, jokes, as well as sorrows with each other. As soon as he returned back to Nyack from being away for a bit Jansen hit me up and we were now chilling all the time at his new apartment in Nyack. I was truly blessed to have had such a strong friendship with Jansen for the past five years, so many laughs, fond memories, and adventures...

it truly pains me to have to write all this but it is important to share how amazing of a person Jansen was. I looked at him as a best friend of mine, someone that was going to be in my life forever.

One day you are speaking with someone and hours later they are gone, forever, and often times you never get an explanation or an opportunity to say goodbye.

Jansen, I will always remember your genuine friendship and all the silly times we had, from our days in Hollywood to us both moving back to our hometown together at the same time, we had each other throughout various chapters of our lives and I was not expecting you to disappear without seeing you one last time. I hope you are at peace and in paradise, I pray you will always be with me, guiding and protecting me, and I am a better person for having known you, thank you for your love and friendship and for being there for me. I will always think of you.
