Words cannot express the deep sadness I feel on hearing this sad news. Your pictures radiate such a beautiful smile and sparkle in your eyes. I followed your Facebook page enjoying the beautiful talented art you created with so much meaning. You were the little cousin to me and my heart is just broken for my cousin Skippy, Hayden and his Mom Lesley and the whole Panettiere family. Rest in Peace sweet Jansen you were certainly loved😪💔🙏

Jansen and I were childhood friends in Snedens, mainly from 1st to 6th grade. As a result, my memories of Jansen blend together — skating in his driveway and around the neighborhood; hanging in the playroom at his house; waiting for the bus at the triangle; pick-up football games with the dads; and birthday baseball games. I do confidently remember Jansen’s smile, his laugh, and his not having a mean bone in his body. Whenever we crossed paths after our childhood, it was like no time had passed, he was always interested in what I was up to.
I do have one distinct memory of Jansen. A morning after my sister went to the hospital, I got on the bus visibly upset. Jansen sat next to me, and asked “What’s the matter?” I explained the situation and he consoled me, responding with, “she’s going to be alright”. This memory stuck with me, and still strikes me many years later, and highlights Jansen’s true warmth and kindness, even as an 8 year old.
Jansen, you will be dearly missed, and Skip, Lesley, and Hayden, my heart goes out to you.
