What a great loss to this world!  Such a beautiful person on so many levels.  Loved our visit together in SF and you sharing your beautiful soul  and space. Thank you for the fun, silly, laughter and deep conversations. I learned so much about and from you during our time together. It was so special
Janice was an endlessly kind and generous person, with her time and material things. She was such a brave soul, never flinched. I met her about 44 years ago, when my son was a wee lad, she embraced him and us with wide open welcome arms. We stayed with her and bonded for a life time.
1971, I was 14, we had just moved from San Francisco to Marra rd. in Occidental. Our house was across the road from Janis and David. One day Janis came over looking for my mom, who she had met earlier, mom wasn't home, so I invited Janis in. We hung out, listening to music and most likely smoking weed, for the afternoon. Janis was the most psychic person I knew, I would call her on the phone and she would answer "hi Gary" of course this was before caller ID. I will greatly miss her.
In response to "How did you first meet Janice?"

Dear Janis,

I will miss you greatly, I will always cherish our friendship. I hope your beautiful soul took another trip around the world before you left this earth.

I have known Janice since I was a young girl and she has always been a very important part of my life.  I remember her taking me to North Carolina to see her family and she made me feel so special.  Janice taught me how to put on makeup, pluck my eyebrows and she even took me to get fitted for my first bra!  Many years later, on more than one occasion,  she sent me airline tickets to come see her in California.  For my tenth wedding anniversary she hosted a special trip with my husband and two of our friends. She   was very gracious and made us feel right at home.  Janice and I  always had a wonderful time together and we could talk about anything. She was my friend, teacher, mentor and most of all my champion.  She was always in my corner right or wrong and she wouldn’t hold back! If she thought I was wrong, she would let me know in no uncertain terns.  But I always knew she had my best interest at heart and would be honest with me and tell me the truth even if I wasn’t ready to hear it!  Janice was so very kind, generous, beautiful inside and out, had a wonderful laugh and she had a twinkle in her eyes when she  smiled.  I will love and miss her until I see her again.
