Auntie J is a gift from God. Her love was all encompassing. She never missed a moment of my life. She was always supportive The memories I have are never ending and each one is so very special. My children thought she was magical, she was their fairy godmother. As I got older Auntie J become a friend and I loved my time with her. Her relationship with her sister my mother brings a huge smile to my face. When they would laugh together, nothing could possibly be wrong with the world. The love that I feel for my Aunt Janet could never be put into words. Knowing I will see her in heaven is the image I adore the most. Thank you God for sharing your precious daughter with me on earth. Till me meet again!! All my love forever!!

We met Janet at Princeton Church of the Nazarene many decades ago. She had a beautiful welcoming smile. She easily befriended us and became an encourager to my husband Pete and me, Yvonne. We sang in choir and played in the Bell choir too. She was very inclusive towards us and welcomed us to her beautiful home Dan built. She loved her home, especially her kitchen where she also welcomed many with her love of cooking and hospitality. She had the gift of hospitality. My husband and I were privileged to sing for her on special occasions and I enjoyed her Tea Room birthday party at Cauley Square. She always carried a gentle spirit about her, and our hearts are warmed by the memories we were privileged to have of her. We will see her again for her life is just beginning in the grace of our Precious Lord. Love to all the Batchelors from the Ortiz family.

I met Janet when she was in her early twenties, and I so admired her beauty. What I have seen in Janet's life, is that she was as beautiful inside as she was outside. I am sorry for such a deep loss. You are in my prayers and in the prayers of the Princeton Church Family. Praying God makes His presence known to you during these difficult days...and you feel His presence...and know His peace.

I remember Mrs. Batchelor making me feel like her own son each time I visited Homestead. She was always so excited to see me and interested to hear about my life. I remember sharing with her my hopes and frustrations about the future as I neared graduation from UCF, and her insistence on paying for my dinner when I ate out with the family! Andrea and I proudly display a wedding photo in the beautiful silver frame that Mrs. Batchelor sent to us a wedding gift; it now serves as a memory of her as well.

Mr. Batchelor, Stephanie, and Adam,
Andrea and I are thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time. Mrs. Batchelor was so warm and loving, and I know each of you cherished her presence in your life, as wife, mother, and mother-in-law. Praise God that we will see her again, and may the Holy Spirit give you peace and grace to deal with the things we can't understand.

Too many memories to even come close to naming. I remember always feeling like I was at my second home when I was a kid at the Batchelor house. She would make sure I still had all my limbs attached as Adam drug me through mud and up there big wooden climbing fortress lol. My mom would send me in white clothes and Aunt Janet would clean me up before she sent me home. I was one of hers and I have missed her and entire Batchelor family since I moved from homestead all those years ago. Uncle Dan and Adam we may be miles apart but you have always been in my heart. She was so special. I love you all.

Janet was such a gracious soul! My husband and I were very young newlyweds at our first duty station! As we were scared to death in a whole new environment, Dan and Janet welcomed us with open arms! It was with unfortunate timing that just 2 months later we were struck by Hurricane Andrew and they allowed us to seek shelter during the storm. I will never forget her for the wonderful, kind person she was. May she Rest In Peace.

I am sooo sorry to hear that Janet passed away!! I met Janet at Windjammer and we chit chatted in and around the pool a lot over the years. She spoke so highly of her family and loved you all so dearly!! We chatted about the wedding (before and after it happened and even got to meet her son and daughter-in-law) and how excited and proud she was of both of you getting married!!
I live near Buffalo/Rochester NY and she shared that her sister was from that area. I am so sad that she is not there with all of you but I am happy that she is with her sister now. She missed her dearly! Now you have 2 angels watching over you!
Janet had such a sweet, kind personality!! She always made you feel comfortable and valued as a person!! I am so incredibly sad that the world will no longer have such an amazing person to share her wonderful traits with others. But I am sure those traits will live on in all of you and you will share her love and memories to continue to make the world a better place, just like she did!! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you!!
