Another adventure story was t…
Another adventure story was that soon after my dad passed mom did a ?week? long backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. She carried all of her gear and I remember that her group split the gear weight equally, not by hiker weight, which is what I would have done. I know my mom was one of the smallest hiker, but she still carried her share.

Jane attended many Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore (CBES) Bike Tours here on the ESVA.  When she decided to move here, she needed a place to stay while the gutted house she bought was being renovated.  She wisely contacted the Master Gardeners group here and asked if they knew of a place.  Paul & I have a cottage in Western New York on Lake Ontario, where we spend our summers.  She called and told us of her need, so we got together a few times and worked it all, and she and Mickey stayed on our home that summer.  She even worked on our gardens, and planted some plants that we still enjoy!!  Of course we became fast friends, and she and Paul especially worked together in the Master Gardeners program.  We also had great times together socially - her parties were the BEST!!  

Hope you're dancing in Heaven, Jane, and have become the queen of Gardening Angels!!🌹💜
