I was shocked and very sad when I heard the news of Jamie's passing today. I don't have any pictures to share. Jamie and I were friends in high school and lived together for a year when I first moved to Denver in 2009. We were roommates when he and Kyler started dating. I remember him telling me about how he thought he was falling for this girl he had met and how amazing she was. Kyler, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your daughter.

It's been almost a month since we lost Jamie and I'm still in denial that he's gone. Jamie was such a light in this world, full of fun and laughter. Sending warm thoughts of love and comfort to Kyler, Pax, and all who loved and lost him.

I’ll never forget the day Jamie took the IVB lab skiing in Beaver Creek. It was a crazy powder day and he leveraged his local status and infectious energy to figure out ski patrol was going to drop the rope on Birds of Prey for the first time all season.
None of us had conquered an 18” powder day before and Jamie made sure we all felt “the float” and had the most memorable day. They say there’s no friends on a powder day, but Jamie defied and it’ll forever remain a peak moment for me 🫶

When Tyler and I got to meet you, Jaime, and Pax at Alyssa’s wedding we hit the jackpot. We absolutely loved talking with you guys. I thought Jaime was so charismatic, funny, enjoyable to talk with, and it was evident to me the love that he had for his family and his work. It saddens me to hear this news and I have been thinking about you and Pax a lot. We would like you to know that we are here for you two and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need absolutely anything at all. Jaime will be dearly missed. I’m so thankful to have met him.

In the times I saw Jamie, he always had a smile and shared such a warm connection with Kyler. It was heartwarming to see him with Pax and the love he had for his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Pax in this difficult time, and please know that I’m here for you however you need.

Jamie was such a great guy—one of the few truly brilliant people I had the honor to know and deeply respect, with a unique sense of humor. I have so many fond memories with him, and I’d like to share two of them:
1) In my first year after moving to the U.S., Jamie showed incredible kindness by inviting me to join him and Kyler’s family for Thanksgiving.
2) He also lent me his old truck for two whole months, so I could freely explore Colorado.
To Kyler and Pax, please know that Jamie's warmth, kindness, and generosity touched so many of us. My heart goes out to you both, and I’m sending all my love your way during this difficult time.
