My deepest condolences to Jimmy’s parents and his sister and little brothers. I cannot tell you how heartbroken I am for you all. I am so so sorry that he is no longer here, but promise you he is watching over you all from Heaven. God needed a mighty warrior for something great- and I know from all the things my son Jack & his Theta Chi brothers have said- He saw it in Jimmy. He was an angel on earth and he impacted SO MANY. Reading about Jimmy's tragic death brought me to tears. As a member of Hinsdale Golf Club, and having coached many kids over the years--I get a good, quick read on kids. Jimmy was one of my favorites! He had a great smile, always welcoming and what I appreciated the most--very resourceful. When he saw an issue coming he wanted to get in front of it. A natural leader, I could tell he was a first born.
Mr. and Mrs. Gracey, I never met you. Yet, I want you to know you raised one the most outstanding boys I have ever met!
Lastly, I was glad to hear about the strong Catholic/Christian faith that Jimmy and the Gracie family have. May we all meet in heaven!
