The donation under my name includes the collective contributions, prayers and condolences of myself plus Drs. Jon Littman, Phil Van Reken, Don Hoffman, Petras Kisielius, Christine Jankowski, John Damergis and Linas Smulkstys. While I don't think any of us knew Jimmy, we were his Mom's colleagues and friends for many years and were not surprised to learn of his faith, character, accomplishments and leadership qualities. We and a few others gather periodically, and when we next meet we will take a moment of silence and prayer for Jimmy.

Im so sorry. The shocking news hurts me deeply. Ive been following Jimmy’s story from Florida. My culture is from Greece. The nightlife is extremely different in Europe and unfortunately we lose our bearings in a different country. Our street smarts are easily forgotten. I had taken risks too. I wish i was able to prevent this from happening. Im so heartbroken as a teacher and love for Children. God wanted him home. Jimmy is in a better place and watching over you. Sincerely, Julie Ganas

I saw this in the news, and my heart was so broken for Jimmy and the entire family. What an amazing person and special gift to have had his love. I was in Portugal around the time this happened and the news of his passing came right before a trip to Fatima. Our family lit a candle for Jimmy, thanked God for the gift of Jimmy, and said a prayer for all of you.

Dear Therese and Taras,
I was so very sorry to hear the news about Jimmy's passing. I know what a special guy he must have been, especially with parents like you. While it has been many years since we've seen each other, I always remember how excited you were to start your family. I am praying for you and everyone who loves Jimmy.

Attended morning prayers at Visitation today, and stumbled upon Jimmy's funeral card. Giving thanks for such an inspirational and incredible young man to model myself and my family after. RIP Jimmy Gracey and enjoy your first Easter at the Lord's table.

Dear Gracey family,
I am so, so deeply sorry for your loss.
We have never met but I am the parent of a 20-year-old who is studying abroad, and since hearing about Jimmy I have not been able to stop thinking of you and of him.
In the days when Jimmy was missing, my heart was aching together with your hearts, imagining the uncertainty and so much hoping with you for his safe return.
There are no words that can ease such a loss, I just wish there would be. You are and will always be in my thoughts, from afar, with sincere compassion.
I hope that, in time, you may find moments of peace and comfort.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Elena Rederer from Germany

Dear Gracey family, words at time seem inadequate to express one's feelings. I pray you feel the love and support of the community who stand with you to hold you up in your unimaginable grief. May you find strength in God's love for you all and his love for the Hockey Captain he needed. May knowing that Mother Mary is holding your son in her arms as her own son bring you peace..
