My Uncle Jim! There aren't enough words to share about how much you meant to me. There were two very important men in my life in my teenage years. My father, Rudolf, who taught me love, values, and hard work. And my Uncle Jim who taught me business professionalism and helped me develop my faith. I loved time with Uncle Jim and Aunt Paula and of course my amazing cousins. I loved your prayerful wisdom and peaceful nature but of course I really enjoyed your orneriness and ability to make me smile. Uncle Jim rest in peace with the angels who surround you and know that you will always be dearly loved.

My Uncle Jim
I am deeply saddened the the loss of a great man. Jim worked hard but always put his family first with a wonderful sense of humor and a solid relationship with god.My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with Polly and the girls and I am blessed with the influence you had on my life. Love Rudy

I worked for Jim back in Canton as a claims manager at Nationwide. What a kind and funny man! He pulled a few pranks on me that I will never forget. I enjoyed my time there and he helped boost my career. Rest In Peace Jim.

My sincerest condolences to Polly, Heather,Laura,Kristen and Mary Beth, their husband's and Grandchildren. He was a special gentle, giant of a man with a love of family and God..It was wonderful to be his sister and to share many long distance chats since my family moved to Sarasota,Florida in 1972.
He had a special sense of humor and loved to compete. He enjoyed working with others and always made you smile. He often spoke about his employees, their families and the many church members that were interwoven in their lives. He made time for his parents and Pollys parents.,and loved his sister-in law, Ellen and her family and also her brother John and his family. I was the youngest of seven children, five boys and two girls. He always tried to stay in touch and shared the joy in their lives, while asking about ours.
I treasure the times our families got together. Like my other siblings I miss him already, but know that we would say, to be with our Father in Heaven , is the greatest gift of all.

Was a great uncle! Help me catch my first walleye on Lake Erie, taught me how to tube & water ski. I enjoyed cookouts growing up at the Green house. I am deeply sad & will always have great memories of uncle Jim!

I got to know both of you, Jim & Polly, at EHC in Somerset, Ky and knew you were a very special couple. I loved Jim, he was so full of love and joy. I’ll always remember Jim being the best dressed guy at our church, best looking hair, with the biggest smile. Polly I know you are to thank for all those awesome outfits Jim wore. I loved seeing you guys at church, and at all of our church gatherings. You guys were the best!
I’m very sorry Polly & family to hear that Jim passed away, but I’m happy to know where Jim is at, bc of his faith in Christ! I know Jim had a personal relationship w Christ Jesus as his Savior & as his Lord! My sincere condolences are with you Polly & with your family. Prayers 🙏🏼 of love, peace & comfort to each of you. I’m so sorry.
Much love, ❤️

Jim and Polly became mentors to Clay and I so many years ago! Many times, a meal around their table turned into them encouraging us by giving us financial tips, and Christian parenting tips! They walked alongside of us almost like a second set of parents! Times started at Woodsen Bend by the pool! Worshipping our God together and just loving each other!
They always loved our girls and supported their mission trips or any other endeavor they needed prayers or financial support for!
Lexie just got married 2 weeks ago, and Jim and Polly supported her with their love and a gift !
We could go on and on because we made so many memories, but Jim lived a life of generosity and humbleness!
Prayers for you Polly and the whole family! There just aren’t enough words to adequately express what Jim meant to The Parks Family💔

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I worked with him at Nationwide Insurance. Always had a lot of respect for him. He was so kind and always smiling. Truly a gentleman! He was one of the good ones as many others thought, too!! He is in a glorious place and feeling no pain. We will all see him again. Take care of Mom. She will need you. Prayers, hugs, and love to you all. It is so hard to lose them.

If I could, I would post the video of Uncle Jim learning the words and trying to dance to Bootylicious! It was Lake Cumberland, around 1998, just one of the many summers spent with him and Aunt Polly making memories on the boat, playing games on the porch, taking walks at night and learning to drive the golf cart. He was so much fun and always knew how to make people laugh. He also knew how to make people feel loved and important. He is missed so much already and I look forward to hugging him again in Heaven. ❤️

Mr. Jim walked in salon one morning for a haircut. I was the one to invite him into my chair. I knew, just knew, that Mr. Jim was special. He proved that over and over. He always had a word of encouragement and support for me. I was honored to know him and count he and Mrs. Polly as my prayer warriors!!! Heaven is surely rejoicing that a saint has come home!!!

It was a personal fight to try and throw me off of the inner tube. An unspoken challenge… myself and the grandkids would tube together all day long, and then there would be one solo ride where it was Jim VS. Drew. He was able to end the game and win the match at whatever point of the ride he thought was necessary. Every. Single. Time. I will forever love and cherish that man, his heart, the influence he has and will have in my life, and what he means to me and my family. Love you Poppa Jim!!!
