Jacob "Jake" Zanger, of Parker, CO, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2022. He was 28 years old. Jacob was born on March 14, 1994, in Littleton, Colorado, to parents Jodi and Henry Zanger.

After suffering a life-threatening accident as an infant, Jacob lived with a traumatic brain injury leaving him paralyzed and unable to live an everyday life; however, he lived the best life he could and touched countless other lives in the process.

He was joyful during his early years, always smiling, making cheerful sounds, and brightening up any room he entered. As he grew older, he began to express his love and feelings in different ways, like "munching" when he was happy or spitting when he wasn't. Jacob always had a way of communicating with others, though, and was never afraid of trying to make his opinion heard by the world around him.

You could often find Jacob in the arms of his Grandma in the rocking chair - if he had a favorite spot, that was it. Being in Grandma's arms calmed him, made him happy, and brought joy to both Grandma and Jacob. He also loved being around his family when they would come over for a visit.

Even in passing, he will continue to live on in our hearts and minds. Jacob will always be remembered as our little miracle, living well past the doctor's expectations and genuinely thriving throughout the years. The Zanger family hopes that you, too, will continue to keep Jake's memory alive in your hearts as well.
