Jake hired me at Redflash Group some years ago and continued over the years to teach me about public safety. He generously shared what he knew with me over many hours and gave me a new expertise as a writer that I continue to enjoy and benefit from. It was always clear how much he cared about the work we do at Redflash and how important he believed it to be. I feel that way myself, in part because of his passion for and commitment to those who serve our communities. His teaching was a great gift to me and he was always vocal in his appreciation of my contribution, which means so much to me. I will miss these conversations with you, Jake, but I can still hear your voice and your laugh and that is a comfort right now. Sending you much love, Lorie
Jake was a patient and kind CYB baseball coach to our son, a valued Dad in our Bella Coola tribe, and a good hearted volunteer for the community. Our sincerest condolences to the entire Knight family. Mark & Tiffany Boyd and family.
I am forever sorry for losing someone so special.

Jacob was my best friend in elementary school.  We had to be separated in class because we would make each other laugh constantly.  I moved out of state after 6th grade, and we lost contact.  I was very happy to find Jacob in 2023 and spent a couple hours with him catching up and reminiscing.  I'm saddened to hear of his passing.  He will always be one of my happy memories of my childhood.
Jake had the warmest smile. He was always so welcoming and kind. Some of my favorite memories were our days at Chase Field with our boys and our men coaching that ANGELS team together!  Holding you all in my prayers.
