Randomly enough, Hunter and I met when we were 10 at our elementary school camp called Camp Cedar Springs. We weren’t even in the same cabin, only at the same table in the dining room, but he was the only part of that trip that I had a positive memory about. Throughout the days we were there, I distinctly remember thinking “please get me to the next meal so I can sit with Hunter”. We talked about baseball and school and everything two 10 year olds could talk about in the first week of our friendship. I remember that this was before he had made LL All-Stars and since I had made it before, I think he was trying to get the scoop on what it took! But I knew he was good enough to make it the coming year, and of course he did. Man I enjoyed baseball with Chooch, at all levels, whether we were good or bad, he made it a pleasure to show up to the field. What a good person and friend he was to me and the people around him. I honestly could probably go on for hours about what this man meant to my family and I. I’ll miss you a lot Hunter, love you brother

I was fortunate enough to be able to watch Hunter play baseball from  Little League, to High School and his Merchants summer team. He was on the same teams as my Grandson, Teddy.  During his High School age Summer season, I was one of his coaches.  Because he was a pitcher, I had the opportunity to talk with him in the dugout on many occasions.  He was always so funny, enthusiastic, encouraging and very positive to his teammates.  He was one of my favorite players.

Hunter will be deeply missed by all of us. We remember going to his ball games and cheering him on. Go Chooch!

Be at peace.

Our Love,  Aunt Kim & Uncle Jeff
