Herman's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father, Herman Leo Scott, who departed this life on August 11, 2021. A successful business management consultant and entrepreneur, Scott lived a zestful life and brought his unique flair to every endeavor. Scott was born October 31, 1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and grew up in the Stoner Hill Community where he attended the public schools of Caddo Parish. He completed his high school education in the Cook Country School District of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Later, he also attended Antioch University where he received a MA in Organizational Behavior.  An artist at heart, as a young man he explored fashion and dance. After joining the United States Air Force where he served for four years and received an honorable discharge, Scott cultivated a corporate HR and executive leadership career with industry giants such as American Airlines, Citigroup, and Humana Healthcare. In 1987 he founded Response Group, a premier executive search and HR consulting firm serving national and international organizations.

A visionary with impeccable taste, Scott was sought after as a strategist across multiple disciplines. His love for art, books, and culture only grew with time evidenced by his extensive art and album collections, as well as in his incredible home remodeling projects. Scott was a charitable member of the Pavilion of God ministry and he will be dearly missed.
