Condolences are being sent from my family to Herman's family. May you know peace and blessings as the transition of my friend and mentor transitions from human form to eternal spirit form.

My deepest condolence, Scott was unique and loved!!! his Son, Daughter and Grands to his fullest. He was full so of life, Always 150 up! Kept it Real. Too positive to be doubtful, Too optimistic to be fearful and always Too determined to be defeated. Scott for certain was a wise man! His laughter was one of kind...

I am saddened to hear this news. I only hope that his final days were not painful and that he was with those he loved.
Our conversations were relatively few but they were a highlight of each day on which they occurred - he was like that. We met over a meal in the context of our support of the Arts, and our conversations expanded to include anything that caught our attention. I never found the limits of his interests. His earnest curiosity about almost every subject - and about his companions’ opinions of those subjects - set him apart and above most of us. The kindness with which he steered his intellect and the joyful sparks which decorated his opinions made conversation with him a deep pleasure, not just because of the content, but for how it felt to converse with him. It is a hallmark of his genius that I will miss him far more than seems possible for someone I had less than 20 conversations with. Rest In Peace.

I was so sorry to hear about Herman's passing. Hi booming laugh, hearty hugs, and lively conversations will be missed. I knew him for over 20 years as both a friend to me and my family and a work colleague. I also remember working on several projects and chuckling over some document format, edit, graphic or spreadsheet snafus since computer technology was always a challenge for him LOL! He shared several holiday meals and good times at my home and we all enjoyed his running commentaries and his love and interest in living a full life. I will truly miss him and extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
