Ernie was a quick friend and we had a short time together. That time was filled with laughter and jokes. He always greeted me with a smile and left my heart lighter and happier. Even though our time was short, it was memorable, happy, and filled with love.

I am so sorry for your loss. I could tell quite a few stories about Ernie and his dry sense of humor but he took the stage for the first time, as the mayor, in "Inherit the Wind" and we were cast mates. He was brilliant.

Ernie was my date for Grade 11 prom. What a handsome, entertaining young man he was. And so he remained. I will miss disagreeing with you Ernie.

I’m so sorry to hear about Ernie’s passing. He was such a gentle spirit. I worked with him at NSCC and travelled with him every week for a month to the mandatory summer school.  When you spend 8 hours in a car every week with someone, you really get to know them well. I hated those drives but today I am so happy I had them. He was funny, he was smart and he was a good man.  I am lucky to have called him a friend.  My sincere sympathies to Kathleen and his children.
