Your dad and I went to northern soul which I also went with Alice and El the day before your birthday.  Had a lovely time talking and smiling about you with the girls and we went to a gaming bar for you which you would have loved..

Your dad and I went to home cinema and watched a documentary film showing social and class discrimination and highlighting social poverty during the thatcher years in Newcastle through one women's photography who also died in poverty but us now a permanent feature in the Tate after her death.

We went on St George's Green and had candles and a light switch on a very special tree for you 

Then took your friends to pizza express and has your special pizza and took Maureen who misses you dearly.

This came up on my FB memories this week. World Book Day. I dreaded it 🤭 every year. It was never simple with George. This one was year 5 when George decided to write his own illustrated book called The Great Goat Getaway and go as the main character. A goat!

I am hopeless at sewing and could not find any goat costume anywhere so had to improvise. The night before George was still writing the book and had me up past midnight photocopy all the pages as he felt the notebook he had done it in was not good enough to show the book author that was coming into class.

Would do anything to do another book day with you George ❤️❤️❤️
