A great room mate many years ago...

May his memory be a blessing.

Ours was a SpokenLayer connection and they were lovely years.  We shared a client for which I was the back up voice.  Always nice to hear from Geoff via email in the days before texting.  Such a creative and generous man!  All the photos on this site are a testament to how wonderful he was, and - in our hearts - will always remain.
We send our thoughts and condolences to the Mayo family. We are deeply grateful for Geoffrey and Lynn Maries's support of our mother, Doreen, in her life and endeavors as a Tai Chi Ch'uan teacher over the many years of their friendship. Geoffrey generously gave his time and expertise in making a video of her doing Tai Chi which helped her immensely and we now have a record of her doing what she loved most to do. They both gave generously their time, their NY loft and love to celebrate our mother in many ways. We will always remember Geoffrey as a kind and supportive presence with a wry smile in the background at the beautiful parties at the Mayo loft, and for the incredible gift he left us with in the video of our mother. Peace be with you all. Rachel and Ghretta

As a child, I spent many summers up in Woodbury, CT with Uncle Geoff, Aunt Lynn and Cousin Willy. Lots of great memories with them. As an adult now, Uncle Geoff's favorite story would be to remind me that I was a "Runner." He explained that anytime I would get frustrated, I would just take off in any given direction. He said I did this a lot. He let me keep coming back though for summer vacations.  Uncle Geoff had such patience, and he was a great and kind man. I will miss his cool attitude and everything about him.
I was so sorry to hear of Geoff's passing. Though I hadn't seen him in a few years, I remember fondly his wonderful energy and vitality. My heart goes out to the whole family.
Uncle Geoff loved to cook and he was pretty dang good at it too. We always looked forward to seeing him at the Square Dance and making memories! There are so many amazing memories to choose from, but there's one in particular that keeps coming to mind. It was waking up Sunday morning, after the square dance, to the tasty aroma of Uncle Geoff cooking blueberry pancakes and bacon!!
Although we spent time together at irregular and infrequent intervals over the last 45 years, I always enjoyed becoming filled with the humor, joy and deep appreciation such times together gave me.  I will miss knowing he is there now except within my memories. Yet, it is also both reassuring and exciting to know that Geoff is exploring the hereafter and will show it all to us in our time.
My warm hearted wishes and deep love goes out to you all! I'm sending my warmth and all the love I have to you all since my life was made so much better after meeting Lynn and Geoff. I nearly bought a house down the road in Woodbury from Lynn & Geoff and though that didn't happen our paths met and crossed which I'm so very grateful for. I live nearby in Washington CT and if anyone needs a thing...anything at all... a friend, a hand or anything  please reach out to me.  Thank you so for these beautiful photos and words and especially to Lynn I send love and hugs (((( )))) Leslie
Sending your family wishes for peace and the comfort of loving memories.

Dear Lynn and family

I was saddened to read of Geoff’s passing. He was deeply committed to the environment and nature. We shared a Princeton bond as well.

We will make a contribution in Geoff’s memory to the Woodbury foundation that protects its endangered habitats.

Sincerely

Vincent de Luise and Debra Hinck

Geoff and I were business partners some years ago on a TV project although we were out of touch recently so this sad news is a blow. I remember our very first meeting, when we described what we were trying to do without a clear path to getting it all done. Geoff basically said, “I want to be part of this and here’s how we’ll do it.”  Geoff wasn’t big on detailed advanced planning. But he had an amazing ability to work in the moment with cheer and vision, to inspire, and to draw the trust and affection of those around him. My heart is with Lynn, Will, Eliza and Lucy today.
With Much Much Love to the Mayo family - my dearest Lynn Marie together with Liza, Lucy and Will. May the Light, the Love and the Joy they share continue to nourish them always.

So sorry to hear this news.  As a college friend of Will's, I have fond memories of celebrating New Years Eve in the city with Geoff and Lynn in their wonderful apartment.  They were such gracious hosts for nights that may have gotten a little out of hand.  I tried to find a picture to share that had all of us in it, but it seems we were too pre-occupied to document it well.  Perhaps for the best!

I will always remember Geoff as being generous, kind, and interested in everything.  My condolences to the whole Mayo family.

I made not have seen Geoffrey for quite a while, but he was unforgettable. We have lost a very fine human.

Sending love to all the Mayo family. I have such fond memories of working with Geoff over the years. Not only a most talented director but a man with such spirit, soul and love for his family. Always talking about his children with love and admiration. You were blessed to have had him as a Dad, and Lynn, thinking about you and your loss. So, so sorry……
Eliza, we are all grateful that we had the opportunity to meet your father. You, the boys, and your whole family are in our thoughts.
Sending my love and prayers to the Mayo family. I know Geoffrey was a stalwart leader of the family and he will be greatly missed. Love, Donte Donald

Geoff was a jovial, warm and engaging friend who, whenever I heard of him from mutual friends, a smile was my immediate reflex.  We lost touch somewhat but I still recall visiting him in London when we were undergrads, being welcomed instantly into his family home by Geoff and his parents, then off to Wimbledon!

One of everyone's favorite people for all the right reasons. He touched many of us. We will miss you Geoff
