Gary's obituary
Gary Halcomb was known for his kindness, wisdom, generosity, stewardship, encouragement and hospitality. He modeled a daily practice of living in gratitude and was motivated by his servant’s heart and actions to care deeply for others. He found increasing hope and courage by his faith in Jesus and the promises in the Word of God in the midst of his healing journey from cancer the last 3 years.
Gary cherished and loved his wife, Lisa, of 34 years. His two children, Rose and Parker, were the delight of his heart. He will be remembered as husband, father, brother, uncle, neighbor, coach and friend. Activities that connected him with others and the outdoors included hiking, fishing, camping, waterskiing, snow skiing, gardening, boating and playing basketball, baseball and hockey.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Gary's memorial fund to support out-of-pocket medical expenses from treatment.
Psalm 115:1
"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!"
