Fred's obituary
Fred Northcutt, Jr., age 86, formerly of Dayton Ohio passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. Born on December 12, 1938, in Harlan, Kentucky. Fred was the beloved son of Fred and Novella Northcutt, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws Isaac Hileman and Johnny Hileman Davis; sisters Helen Vinsant, Mildred Byrd, Alise Vallance and brother Charles Lee Northcutt.
Fred led a full and hardworking life, with careers as a millwright and a long-distance truck driver. He shared many of his journeys on the road with his devoted wife, Ann, who often traveled by his side.
Fred was a member of the Church of Christ and had a strong faith in the Lord. He found joy in traveling, camping, boating at Norris Lake, gardening, and fixing anything that needed repair. Always generous with his time, he loved helping others and never met a stranger. But above all, Fred cherished time spent with his family—whether on vacation, at reunions, or simply gathered for holidays. He was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His warmth and presence will be profoundly missed.
Fred is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 67 years, Ann; his children Pamela (Bob) Pickle, Melody (Rick) Fullenkamp, Fred Alan (Tasha) Northcutt, and Terri Fowles (Brian Davis); grandchildren Steven (Jennifer) Northcutt, Justin (Sarah) Pickle, Kristan (Amanda) Northcutt, Jessica (Matt) Selsor, Stacey (Mike) Murphy, Rebecca (Josh) Overman, Zach Fowles, Connor (Kirstyn) Fullenkamp, and Chandler Fullenkamp (Sarai Castillo); and great-grandchildren Malachi, LeAnna, Aidan, Dylan, Bryson, Grayson, Nolan, Scarlett, Logan, Gavin, Killian, Emma, Kensley, Summer, Olivia, Eliott, Liam, and Evelyn Novella coming soon. He is also survived by his brother Jack (XiuXiu) Northcutt, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
