Playing golf with Frank and then WDSU General manager Wayne Barnett at English Turn Country Club with Frank and Wayne laughing at my golf swing. I remember Frank teasing me by saying: “ You might be able to have a better outcome if you didn’t spend so much time dancing over the ball.” Lol
Frank was a great guy to go to Europe with. We visited World War II battlefields with the National WWII Museum. Our cadre of volunteers always loved having Patti join our group. Frank and his daughter fit right in with our fun and interest in the War. He will surely be missed on our next journey.

Frank was truly an icon at WDSU & I had the pleasure of working with him for 16 years, mostly as his assistant (also babysitting Patty). I will always treasure those years. He was such a generous man that I'm very grateful to have had in my life. I do remember one particular time, I was in a financial bind & having issues with my car, and Frank being the thoughtful person that he was, wanted to help me. He along with his sales team, contributed in helping me get a new transmission for my car. What a surprise that was, I’ll never forget it. That's the type of man he was. Frank, you will truly be missed, and will NEVER be forgotten. Love you always Frank!

My condolences to you, Patty, and Frank's entire family! I went to Campion with Frank and greatly enjoyed his company whenever we were together! May he rest in peace!

Patty,

Condolence from the neighborhood. I will miss our conversations as I walked around the neighborhood as well as I am sure others will too. And all will miss the occasional glimpse  of a WWII jeep cruising around. What a rare site.

Hi Patty-

We have known and admired your father since about 1970.  He was a calm and loving man. A joy to be around. A good man.

Peace and warm regards to you, Frank.

Had many great times with Frank (India) at Campion Jesuit High School. But none as memorable as the time we spent volunteering at the local Head Start program for a semester. While we were at an all boys college prep HS these kids were from circumstances far different than how I had grown up. Our hope to be helpful paled next to the enthusiasm and joy these children gave both Frank and I . We served breakfast, played, read books, and answered some great questions only young minds can conjure! Frank and I talked at length each time we worked at Head Start how lucky we were and Frank told me his experiences while overseas. So, while sequestered in a small Wisconsin town, privileged to be at an exclusive school, we both learned there were many who were not living our life. It's a lesson I think of often as will be my memories of "India". Never good bye, LATER!

I was Frank's sales assistant at WTSP -- but aside from a shared fondness for egg salad sandwiches ("I'll buy, you fly") -- Dick Ergenbright's right.   Some stories just can't be made public.

Perhaps my biggest take-away from those years was the way he made me feel (that) I was a key player.   Not 'just' a secretary, Frank invited me to join the weekly sales meetings and solicited my opinion.

They don't make them like Frank anymore!  .....but I feel darn fortunate to have shared those workdays with he and the Sales team.
