To the Cartaino Family ... My name is Daryl Stermon .... I had the pleasure of knowing Frank ... first professionally then personally for about 20 plus years. I served as the technology coordinator for the San Diego County Office of Education and Frank was our account executive for software and other needs.
I have never met a more quality person, totally professional, problem solver, willing to approach difficulties with knowledge, ability and a joke to keep you focused.
After my retirement he came back into my life as a team member and player on our TRIVIA team known as the RUBES. We looked at each other over two sessions, and could not place how we knew each other until it clicked, as we were both out of context. It was a great laugh when we figured it out!!! We played as team members for many years on Tuesday nights. I will miss his friendship.
Frank was one of the most warm and genuine persons I have ever met. Just a pleasure to be around, and he never missed a question about music or technology! He always talked warmly about his family, wife and daughters.
I will miss him tremendously!!!

I don’t know where to start. You and Lucille welcomed us to the neighborhood 22 years ago with open arms and a joke. You came to sit at our table at Kathryn’s wedding to enjoy your first beverage of the evening. You were so happy and beaming with pride. We thank you for your love, friendship, margaritas and jokes. #teamwillowhaven happy hours will never be the same. ❤️🥃. Love - the Elovitz family.

Dear Lucille, Christina and Kathryn,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the joy Frank brought into your life, Lucille, when the two of you met. I remember the excitement the two of you felt at having met your partner in life. I remember the way he embraced everyone in your family. I remember the kindness he showed to me. The last time I spoke with him, he told me how proud he was of having raised two accomplished daughters. He was a joy to talk with—curious, thoughtful, interesting, caring. It was a privilege to know him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Catherine
