Condolences and prayers to Sister Alyce Elliott and family.

This was a great man that stood in as a father in my life at the worst time in my life. He had always gave me his wisdom anytime that we would talk. Though we hadn’t spoke in a while, I always would send messages through my mother to him and Alyce. I will always love and respect him.

      Love Lee

Elmer Elliott was my next door neighbor when I lived in Ann Arbor. We were a family of 5 children,(The Crawford’s) who after my parents divorced, were raised by our Mom. The Elliotts took on the responsibility of watching over us, feeding us, disciplining us and most importantly loving us. We affectionately called them (Uncle Elmer & Aunt Alyce).

Uncle Elmer was a solid Christian man who showed me personally what a true Dad looked and acted like. He was a kind, and always generous man who never raised his voice, and who led by example. His heart was huge. He was tall, but never intimidating, he had a very calm demeanor, a patient man who shared his smile and you gave him respect and love because that’s what he showed you. There is no way I can possibly list all the things that the Elliotts have done for me. But one statement that truly exemplifies his obedience to our Lord and Savior is: “Love your neighbor as yourself”.  Thank you Uncle Elmer!  All my love and condolences to Aunt Alyce and Lauri. May our Heavenly Father continue to provide comfort and love to the both of you.❤️

It is hard for me to find the words to express what Elmer meant to me. His daughter, Lauri and I met all the way back in preschool, she is my best friend and sister to this day. My mom was a single mother at the time and needed moral support, Elmer and Alyce became like second parents to me and a support system to my mom too. I cherish my childhood, as well as my later in life memories of Elmer, cause he was a wonderful father figure too me, during the formative years of my life and a joy to converse with as I grew up. I will hold those memories dear, until we meet again in our eternal home. My thoughts and prayers are with Lauri and Alyce and I ask Lord, that you put your loving arms around them.
Sending my condolences and prayers to you Aunt Alyce and Lauri. May God cover you in a blanket of peace and comfort in your time of need. I love you both, Uncle Elmer was truly loved and will be missed enormously rest peacefully Uncle Elmer ❤️

Sincerely,

Chantal Harper and family
My Uncle Elmer was the most kind and caring man I’ve ever known. I remember all of the summers my cousins and I spent in Ann Arbor at my aunt and uncles house. Uncle Elmer would come home and chase and tickle us we’d laugh so hard that some of us would end up sick to our stomachs, but it would be all worth it because we were happy and having so much fun. I’m convinced my Uncle Elmer had magical powers because he came home with a yellow watermelon and it was the sweetest watermelon I’ve ever tasted. It had to be magic because I haven’t been able to find another yellow watermelon and believe me I’ve tried. Thank you for making my childhood memorable! Rest peacefully Uncle Elmer I love you!
Sending Sincere Condolences to the Family of Elmer Elliott, May your hearts be filled with loving memories of Husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin and not forget friend. Rest in Peace, love Family. I see that smile from Heaven 💞
