This was a great man that stood in as a father in my life at the worst time in my life. He had always gave me his wisdom anytime that we would talk. Though we hadn’t spoke in a while, I always would send messages through my mother to him and Alyce. I will always love and respect him.

Elmer Elliott was my next door neighbor when I lived in Ann Arbor. We were a family of 5 children,(The Crawford’s) who after my parents divorced, were raised by our Mom. The Elliotts took on the responsibility of watching over us, feeding us, disciplining us and most importantly loving us. We affectionately called them (Uncle Elmer & Aunt Alyce).
Uncle Elmer was a solid Christian man who showed me personally what a true Dad looked and acted like. He was a kind, and always generous man who never raised his voice, and who led by example. His heart was huge. He was tall, but never intimidating, he had a very calm demeanor, a patient man who shared his smile and you gave him respect and love because that’s what he showed you. There is no way I can possibly list all the things that the Elliotts have done for me. But one statement that truly exemplifies his obedience to our Lord and Savior is: “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Thank you Uncle Elmer! All my love and condolences to Aunt Alyce and Lauri. May our Heavenly Father continue to provide comfort and love to the both of you.❤️
