What a great man we lost!

My memories with Elihu are during days of Bradford Badminton Club. Even during short encounters, between the matches I feel how big heart he has! What a gentlemen, sense of humor, delicate and thoughtful. We were able also share our passion about cars, at that time Elihu restored old black Porsche, and we spend lots of time discussing technical aspects of restoration....

I still cannot believe that I am no longer can see him. Sad. But my hope that he is sending us from heaven       his laughs and funny stories!

My deepest condolences.

Monday I learned a great deal more about a great man who touched many including me. I was affected by those who spoke of him and the speeches from his children. I was left with profound admiration for Elihu Fitzroy Henry as his Superhero Legacy will live on through his family, friends, and all those that had the pleasure of meeting him.

So sorry to hear of Elihu’s passing - my sincere condolences to your family. I had the privilege of working with Elihu at Scarborough General and also had him as a teacher for the Anesthesia Assistant program. He was always so kind and genuine in wanting to help and educate and will be fondly remembered. Hoping your beautiful memories of him bring comfort.
I am so sorry to hear of Elihu's passing.  He was a joy and pleasure to work with at Sunnybrook, always taking the time to share his expertise with patience and enthusiasm.  My thoughts are with his entire family at this time.

Our deepest condolences from your Montreal family. I personally remember every time seeing Elihu when visiting toronto ..his big welcoming smile and huge warm hugs! His wonderful kind heart towards myself and my family especially to my mother and how he passed these wonderful traits on to his amazing wife and children who always made us feel so welcome as well. The power of kindness he exuded and still does through his wonderful family who will pass on his rays of sunshine through generations to come. He will forever live on through the wonderful person we all remember him to be. We wish you find comfort in knowing he brought so much joy to so many. Love to all of you. Roselyne, Rafael, Gabi and Lili.

What a wonderful tribute to an amazing man and colleague!

“Remember me with smiles and laughter, that is how I remember you all. Dwell not on thoughts that cause you pain, we’ll see each other once again”. Our deepest condolences. The Cimmers and Joaquin families.

I grew up seeing Mr. Henry and his family every Sunday at Trinity United Church. After I stopped attending frequently as a teenager, whenever we would cross paths he would take the time to ask how I was and about my life, taking it seriously (which adults didn’t often do at my age) and giving me the feeling of total listening and presence.

My cherished memories will be his philosophizing of Life of Pi in a high school Sunday school class, and him coaching his daughters’ soccer games when they were my opposing team, even when we were all adults.

Whenever the beam of his attention was on you, it was warmth and comfort, and that feeling will be one of his many legacies.

My condolences to you all. Such a great loss, heaven has a very special angle.

I had the pleasure of coaching soccer with him. Such good memories that I will cherish.

Barbara

Condolences to the whole family,  which Elihu was very proud of,  and clearly loved dearly.  I have had the pleasure of working in Elihu's presence on many occasions at Sunnybrook.  I know I don't need to tell the family this, because you all already know , but Elihu was one of the most genuine decent people I have ever met.  A rare combination of skill, wisdom, honesty and integrity.  He was a joy to be around, had an infectious laugh, was unflappable and quietly just got the job done.  He will be missed by all but I feel very fortunate to have known him.
Elihu, you were one of the bright lights in our field both as an RRT and an AA. I enjoyed talking about AA “stuff” over the years and teaching with you at the Michener. When you spoke, people would stop and listen. Your wisdom and kindness made the world a better place. Rest in peace my friend.

Sunny days - pickleball court
Calm voice -fast feet and soft hands, huge smile -

Rest easy , we will miss you.

Our deepest condolences on your loss. We are thinking about you and are sending you all our love during this difficult time. May the loving memories you shared bring you peace, comfort, and strength. Love Emma, Adam and Lucius Colucci-Henderson
I’m so sorry to hear about Elihu’s passing. He was our soccer coach as a group of women in our thirties, and we loved having him at every game. While the time I knew him was short, it was clear that he was an incredible father to Mel and Heather and adored them both so much. His warm heart and playful spirit will be missed.
