Eleanor's obituary

Eleanor, aged 75 years, born in Byker and more recently residing in Hebburn, passed away peacefully at home with her husband and daughter by her side on October 25th 2022, after a courageous four-year battle against breast cancer.

Cherished wife of Norman and mother to Linda, she was the oldest of six siblings (Doreen, June, Georgie, Brenda and Billy) who remained close throughout their lives.

Eleanor was an avid gardener, who loved to see a riot of bright color and textures, interspersed with pixies, parrots and many other quirky characters! She loved to go swimming with her sisters and meet for a "cuppa' in the Grainger market. She could never pass up a good bargain and enjoyed a charity shop or boot sale rummage.

Eleanor was greatly loved by all who met her and will be sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eleanor’s life on Thursday 10th November at Saltwell Crematorium, at 10:30am.

All welcome after the service to The Fiddlers Three for refreshments and to continue sharing stories and memories of Eleanor. An early lunch will be served at 11:30am, followed by a toast at 12:10pm.

Floral tributes may be sent to the Co-op Funeralcare, Elison Street Hebburn.

Alternatively, there will be a donation box at the service to raise money for Daft as a Brush and Magie's Centre charities; both of which offered valuable support throughout Eleanors cancer treatment.
