Edward's obituary

Edward "Patrick" Hutton passed away, at his home in Covington, GA, on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the age of 71. His battle with several health issues over the years showed his courage and resiliency in facing life challenges and his determination, as he would say, to "be here forever.”

Edward was born on March 17, 1951, to Williana and Eli Hutton in New Orleans, LA. After graduating from Fortier High School in 1969, he enrolled at the University of New Orleans (UNO) to study engineering. While in college, Edward's charismatic personality earned him many friends and opened doors to several opportunities. A year into schooling, he landed a job as a Telephone Technician at Bellsouth, currently AT&T. He excelled in his position at BellSouth, receiving numerous promotions during his 47 years with the company. Edward was well-liked and respected among his peers and superiors. In 2016, Edward officially retired from AT&T and spent most of his time at home with his family. He loved watching movies, reminiscing about the good ole days, and talking about how much he loved his "beautiful wife.”

Also, while at UNO, Edward's charming and quick-witted personality won the heart and hand of JoAnn St. Junior. They were married in 1973 at St. Rock Catholic Church and raised three children - Edward Jr., Sean, and Aleshia.

Edward was predeceased by his two sons, Edward Christopher Hutton and William Christopher Hutton; his parents, Williana and Eli Hutton; his sisters, Roslyn Jackson, Yvonne Hutton, and Anna Rose Riley; and his niece, Janine Harrison. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife of 50 years, JoAnn St. Junior Hutton; his children, Sean and Aleshia Hutton; his grandchildren, Deshawn Hutton, Bryonna Mallory, Kyle Hutton, Tyson Hutton, and William Christopher Hutton Jr., his great-grandchildren, Tracy Taylor, Skylar Taylor, and Levi Avist; his brother Michael Hutton; his brother-in-law George Jackson and his daughter-in-law Annetter Bates Hutton along with a host of other relatives and friends.
