Doug's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas G. Ohliger, "Doug" who was born on July 31, 1964, and left us on June 21, 2023. Doug was a giving and generous man, whose quick whit and sense of humor  always brought a good time and laughter wherever he went.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Pam Haman, whom he married in 2020; his son, Kieran (Toni) Ohliger; his mother, Virginia "Ginny" Ohliger; his sisters, Paige Ohliger (Kye Goalby) and Lara Powell (Chris Powell - nephews Kaleb and Carson). He was predeceased by his father, George Ohliger.

A Celebration of Life for Doug will be held on October 21, 2023, time TBD at our home in Fort Worth, Texas. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to come together to remember and celebrate the beautiful life Doug lived.  This event will be casual and the essence of Doug.  We are planning for Penn State vs. Ohio State college football weekend, and will have lots of great food, cocktails, and a special bourbon that Doug dipped in 2009 to share with those that can attend.

Doug will be greatly missed by his wife, Pam, and their three "kids," Rugen, Violet, and Kevin. Doug and Pam were each other's everything, and their love and bond were truly special.

As we remember and celebrate Doug, let us appreciate life's simple pleasures and cherish the time we spend with those who matter most to us.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Doug's memory are encouraged to choose a charity or cause for which they are passionate and appreciate.
