Donna, you have been in my thoughts for several months.  I have prayed that our Lord Jesus Christ open the gates of heaven wide for your beautiful soul to enter his glorious kingdom.  God Bless your family during this difficult time.
Donna was an incredible woman of strength, endurance, beauty, faith, and an inspiration to all who knew her. I am honored to have been in her presence on her visits with Larry to Wilmington, and our visits to see her in their home in Gainesville. She was truly a servant of Jesus.  We will miss you Donna. Prayers for all of her family.

Donna Carroll Carmical, you will be sorely missed💝 One of the fiercest childhood cancer advocates I’ve ever met💛🎗️❤️ From lobbying on Capitol Hill with you to every fundraising event, I’m a better person to have met you. Sending big love to family and loved ones missing you now. I’ve met too many bereaved mommas in the childhood cancer community, you showed me the fierce love of a bereaved granny💔💪 Rest well my dear, you more than earned it❤️🎗️❤️
My heart and my works will never be the same. Donna made my life and the lives if so many so much better. This world has lost such a bright beautiful light. 😘🙏

I will always love ‘Miss D’, as I liked to call her.  So many fond memories that I will cherish always… from celebration of life gatherings for her beloved grandson Declan, to joining the Carmical family for holiday and birthday celebrations, gathering in Beth’s kitchen chatting up a storm while Donna cooked something and the rest of us drank wine… to iPad packing parties at her home and mine, handfuls of fundraisers we hosted to benefit J4AC,  sharing smiles and tears at pediatric cancer awareness events.  She was always there for me, despite being so busy with her own beloved very large family!  She was always one of my biggest cheerleaders. She was my biggest inspiration… she was tireless in everything she did… devoted and generous of her time, heart, mind and spirit.   Her daughter Beth became one of my best friends and despite my move away from VA-  my connection to Beth and Donna remained strong.  RemainS strong! I love all of the Carmical clan and am holding each one close in my heart during this unthinkably sad time.

I love you, Donna!

Love, Di
