Nestled in a grove of native redwood, oak, and bay trees alongside Live Oak Creek, we will be hosting this memorial at the Berkeley Art Center. Please join us for a potluck style gathering and service to honor and celebrate the life and memory of Deward.

Beverages
Flowers (preferably in a vase) will be appreciated by all.Small folding or portable chairs (the venue only has 40 chairs available which will be reserved for those who need them the most)
There is a small chance of rain and we will decide on Sunday whether the service itself will be outdoors or indoors. If we are outdoors it is likely to be on the chilly side and if we need to move indoors it is likely to be fairly warm and space limited. The Reception will be indoors and Seed Ceremony likely to be outside in either case. Please wear and bring appropriate clothing and possibly an umbrella.
Parking: There is not a designated parking lot for this venue so street parking is the only option and can be limited in this area. Please carpool, uber, bike or find a parking spot amongst the surrounding neighborhood streets and expect to take a little stroll.
There may be a few minutes of open mic at the end of the service if time permits. However, if you know you would like to say or share something, please let us know in advance so we can try to ensure a time slot for you.
