Join us for an afternoon celebration of the life of Desmond Perry at the Garlands of Barrington, where he and Celma have made their home for the past eight years.
We’ll raise a glass and share some snacks that he loved best, swap stories, spin a few yarns, tell a joke or two, and sing the songs that might just coax a smile from Himself. Most of all, we’ll spend time together as FOD – Friends of Des.
Each guest is warmly invited to bring along a tale, a limerick, a poem, or a joke in Des’ honor. The event kicks off at 1:00 pm, and reflections and remembrances will be shared at 2:00 pm. Let’s fill the room with laughter, music, kindness, and the gentle mischief he so enjoyed.
We look forward to gathering, remembering, and celebrating a life well-lived.

P.S. Celma is aware of Desmond's passing, but with Alzheimer’s complicating her perspective, the future without her husband will be a bit more challenging to navigate. We are following the guidance of the lovely professionals who know her and have handled this situation before and will be including her in the celebration, but only to the extent that she is able to handle.
P.P.S. We will be doing our best to share the event over Zoom - especially the Reflections shared at 2 pm - for the benefit of those family and friends who would be there but for distance.
