I knew Derald through work at White Farm Equipment. He was more experienced than me at that time and always gave me encouragement and he shared his wisdom with kindness. I was lucky enough to be invited to their house many times and I experienced first hand the loving parental environment Derald and Judy provided for Nichol and Heidi.
Paulette and I offer our condolences to Judy and the family for the passing of Derald.   Derald and Judy were friends of ours and Derald was a co-worker at White Farm in Hopkins many years ago.  I have so many fond memories.  They were a part of the "White Farm Family"!
I just learned of Derald's passing - I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this.  I loved him so much - he was one of the first people I met when I started at MedCenter Health Plan.  He took me under his wing and was like a second father to me.  So many good memories and he taught me so much.

Dear Heidi: You were a loving, caring and supportive daughter throughout your Dad's life. Simply Amazing Heidi! You had a beautiful relationship, and one that I hope brings you peace and joy in your heart as you also process and grieve his passing. Love and hugs my friend, Beth & Geof.

Derald is one of the best friends I’ve had. I will never forget the special days spent with Derald & Judy. Our travels together are great memories. I miss Derald’s calm demeanor and endless smile. Peace to all who Derald touched. Derald taught us all how to care more.

I took this picture with my dad in July, 10 days before his 80th birthday. He was bright and cheery. I’m grateful that despite his journey with Alzheimer’s, he always remembered who I was and was happy to see me. ❤️

As a little girl, Sundays in the fall included sitting in front of the TV with my dad as he explained all of the rules of football in detail. By age 10 we had season tickets as a family. I value all of that time with my dad…even standing alongside him in tears when the Vikings lost the 1998 NFC championship game. I am sad he never saw his Vikings win the Super Bowl and am grateful that he is the source of my love of the game.
