I was so sorry to hear about Darrell's passing. He was such a loved father, and respected person and dental peer. Heaven gained another good one!

My heart is broken. Dr. Drissell was such a wonderful person. Many years ago I was, if not 50, close to it and hadn't been to the dentist in over 35 years due to my fear. One Sunday afternoon I was in extreme pain and my mother called her dentist. Dr. Drissell met us at his office and patiently and gently took care of my tooth. I had tears streaming down my face and as old as I was, he allowed my mother in the room to hold my hand. I was a white knuckled patient for years and it took four or five visits before I went without my mother taking me! My husband, son, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson and father all became patients of Dr. Drissell's. My daughter-in-law had the same fear of dentists that I had. I convinced her to go and Dr. Drissell allowed me to hold her hand! Even my father, who hadn't seen a dentist in years became a fan.
When I lost my husband I received a card that had words that became important to me and I would like to pass them on to Dr. Drissell's family....... NO MATTER what life may bring, PLEASE BELIEVE in these two things, YOU'RE STRONGER than you may imagine, and you are NEVER ALONE.
Thank you Darrell Drissell for being you.

We are so saddened by the news of Darrell’s passing. He was our family dentist since 1995 and always a favorite. I remember fondly how patient and kind he was to my Mother the few times I took her to see him. She was 94 and suffering from dementia. He was the Best!!!

Beyond shocked and saddened to hear this news. Dr Drissell was one of the kindest, caring, just genuine wonderful people I had the honor of knowing for a close to 20 years. He made the world a better place. My family and I send lots of love and hugs to his family at this difficult time.

The Drissell and Parks' families have been intertwined since Jeff and Matt were in kindergarten. We consider each of you family and have spent so many wonderful times together - dinners, card playing, sharing weddings, showers, life... and of course Darrell has been our dentist for many years and now Jeff fills his shoes. Darrell has such an incredible legacy in his family and each life he has touched along the way - a quick smile, kind, caring, thoughtful are just a few of the many wonderful qualities he shares. Thankfully as believers we know the journey does not end here and we will once again see Darrell. His unwavering faith was evident in how he lived his life here on earth and he appreciated all God created - in other people and the majestic world we live in. Until we see you again Darrell. With much love The Parks family - Dave, Dawn, Ashley, Matt, Lindsay and Hudson

I have been a patient of Darrell's for ever! During one dental appointment, Darrell asked if I was interested in joining his bike team and riding in the Bike MS. Thank goodness I said yes, because our rides and annual Bike MS weekends were my fondest memories of Darrell. I loved hearing stories about the childhood years with his siblings, especially the ones with brother and fellow biker, Don. There was so much fun, happiness and love shared in that family. Everyone that Darrell touched, from patients to friends, shared his joy and positivity. Darrell will be missed, but I, for one, have nothing but wonderful memories that will keep him ever mindful.

My condolences to his loved ones. May his memory over time fill the hole his passing has left. I was a classmate @ Parkway Central. Darrell was a genuinely good guy- those were/are few and far between

We've known Darrell since he was in dental school with our daughter. He was our dentist from day one and he was the best at his art. We played in the Lifewise charity golf event for many years and always enjoyed the Ted Drewes. He will be missed. Chuck and Cathi Vaaler

Dear Kathy, Dr. Jeff and family, the Madey family will always remember Dr. Darrell, as he was known, as the greatest dentist ever. I have never recommended more people to a medical professional more than Darrell at Kehrs Mill Dental Arts. He was friendly, gentle, and had the best smile. John met Darrell at basketball through Rick Sippel and the rest is history. Our family prays for all of you as you travel through amazing memories and difficult moments. 😢❤️🙏

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Drissell as my dentist for 20 years, and in that time his kindness, patience, and genuine heart always stood out to me. He carried himself with a grace that made people feel cared for. I believe that kind of love and gentleness reflects a deeper faith, and it was evident in the way he treated everyone around him. He truly left an impact on my life, and I am forever grateful to have known him and to have been cared for by him. His presence was a gift, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
