Darell was such a great man with a kind heart who was solid and real as they come.  I've known him for many years as he was my little brother Tyler's best friend so he was always around hanging out.  He is missed more than words can say. Many prayers and hugs to all his family and friends .

uncle D, zo bear, Cherise and i were the perfect group.  we had the best adventure days ever my favorite memories were definitely the creek when we got kicked out. the water fall is the #1 memory it was the most fun memory i had with them we all love you darell you are being missed a lot mawmaw missed you a lot! we all miss you and love you

One of my favorite acts of kindness that I had seen from Darell was when he picked up a homeless guy, offered a listening ear, got him food and then took him to where he needed to go. He always went above and beyond when helping people. He was always doing acts of kindness throughout our relationship and I am sure before me as well. On Holidays we would make up plates and deliver them to people. And he loved making care packages for people to help them get back on there feet.

Darell taught me to tie my shoes & attempted to help me learn to ride a bike. But I was a scaredy-cat as he called me😂we were about the same age, so I have lots of great memories as kids. He would always pick on me if I liked the color pink. So since a very young age, I always liked red or yellow because I didn’t want Darell to make fun of me. I miss you so much! Love you always cousin♥️

Dearest Le-le – I just heard about Darell. What an amazing person and what a remarkable life! I know I can’t make your pain go away, but I want you to know I’m here for you with a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen anytime day or night, or anything else you may need, or not (if you prefer my absence I understand.) I’ve been in Cali for about a week trying to relocate and can come to the funeral if you wish. Just let me know. Before we would always part ways, he had some kind of prank lined up, like glitter on the back of my neck so when I went home and had about 30 mins fight with the wife till I remembered he patted my back!!!

(2009 -ish) 

    This memory will always stick with me. I met Darell when Clyde Tate (cw) and Patience Tate (Whitaker)  decided to go get darell from him and Bushongs house in Groveland. We decided to go on a cruise on the back roads to the creek  about 5 miles away . Patience and I in the back seat and CW and Darell in the front. Patience and I both had disposable cameras and had been taking pictures all day. Darell leaned over to cw whispered something and then said get a pic of this.  They leaned in like they was going to kiss and patience and I both  laughed so hard and said " what your not going to actually  do it?"  They both looked at us like we was crazy🤣  I took a picture and still have it to this day.  I'll find and repost it here....

So sorry to his family 😞 and friends . 

You will be missed Darell!!
