Danielle's obituary

Danielle D. McQuiston, beloved mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 56.

Born on December 12, 1967, Danielle lived a life defined by her warmth, generosity, and commitment to helping others. Her passion for service began in her early days at Camp Tockwogh and continued throughout her life. She made a profound impact running a local chapter of Rock Steady, a program dedicated to supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease.

Danielle cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her loving sons, Sam McQuiston, his wife Lea, and their children Cecelia and Kelly; Alec McQuiston and fiancé Tanya Mitjans; her stepson Nick DiSantis. Danielle shared a devoted partnership of 22 years with Frank DiSantis, with whom she shared many enjoyable hobbies and activities. Together they created a welcoming beach home filled with laughter and love, hosting cherished gatherings for friends and family alike.

She will also be deeply missed by her mother, Marian S. Houston, and her brother, James Houston, his wife Amy, and their sons Ben, Josh, and Alexander. Danielle was predeceased by her father Andrew B Houston, her beloved brother Andrew S. Houston, and stepson Frankie DiSantis.

Danielle’s greatest joy was bringing people together, whether through her work, her vibrant social life, or her time at the beach. She leaves behind a family and friends who cherished her kindness, connection, and spirit.
