Colin starred in the first production I directed for the Opera Division, as Mack the Knife in Kurt Weillβs Threepenny Opera. I remember what a great performance he delivered, singing, acting, and dancing with incredible verve and charisma. I was lucky to have him in that production. Β He was not only talented, but a warm and funny man, with a positive outlook on everything. I also remember heβs personal style! He was great fun to spend time with, had a great sense of humour and was part of the great group of people that made the Opera Division years so memorable. Dear Juniper and Colinβs family, I am so sorry for your loss.Β
DearΒ Maurice, Beth, Β George, Gigi, and Chris, our sincere sympathies on Colinβs passing. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May Colin rest in peace.
Uncle Maurice, Beth and family our thoughts and prayers are with you. So broken hearted for all of you. May he rest in Peace. Doh, May and Viv will be there to greet him. From Β all of us here in IrelandΒ
I have this memory of Colin and me in his car really late after being out on the town (this would be over 30 years ago now,Β but the memory is still so vivid:)Β We're in the driveway talking about our favourite music for hours.... His was the soundtrack to the musical, "Chess" . We sat and listened to the whole thing in silence.Β I had never heard it before but to this day when I hear the song, "Love changes everything" , I think of Colin - his passion for music and for sharing the things he loves with others.Β Β
